Blurred Colors : One Shot

"Promise me Khushi.. Promise me that you will never leave me."

"I promise you Arnavji... I will never leave you"

" I love you Khushi.. "

"I love you too Arnavji"

He pulled her bare body close and placed butterfly kisses all over the exposed skin.

"Are you scared?"

He asked in between the kisses.

"Mmmhmmm" She moaned.

And then he entered her slowly breaking the last barrier between them. She let out a sudden cry as he took her virginity.

He kissed her pain away and murmured sweet nothings in her ear.

He started moving when she got adjusted with the pain.

The pain replaced with pleasure as he increased his pace.

He chanted her name like a prayer when they both reached the pinnacle of pleasure together.

She couldn't take her eyes away from him when he helped her to get dressed. His eyes were filled with tender love. That was she thought at that time.

With a smile he carried her to the car and drove towards Laxminagar to drop her.

"You know... before meeting you my life was incomplete. But now I feel complete. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for valuing our love more than your beliefs Khushi.

He held her hand and kissed her forehead before he drove away. That was the last time she saw him.

She caught her breath, helplessness crawling up her neck again as the memory of their lovemaking played in her mind.

How she is going to survive?

The stored tears continued to flow and the sobs wracked her body, robbing it of the ability to speak – barely allowing a breath to be drawn.

She clenched her hand and held it tight against her mouth so no sound would escape.

She did not want to wake her family. Are these people really her family?

Family- She didn't have one since her parents passed away.

Her Aunt and mother repeatedly told her many times this is her family since they adopted her.

She accepted them wholeheartedly as her family, but they never accepted her.

If she was their own blood then they would have supported her.

They always blamed her being ungrateful for every small mistakes she made.

She has borne all her problems with great courage, including her parents death and living the life of a orphan for the last 10 years.

After meeting him she thought her life will change for good.

She dreamed about a family of her own - a loving husband and two children.

But the man whom she trusted with her life betrayed her. He did not turn up for their wedding.

He abandoned her -just like that. Like the same way he left her few times in anger in  the middle of the road at night.

He did not even care to explain his side.

In front of thousand guests she was humiliated and insulted by his Dadi. Yet she believed he will come.

He said he loved her right?

She is like a shattered mirror now, without reflection.

Maybe he wouldn't have hurt her if she was not a orphan.

She wished if someone was there to stand up against the world for her. Then her life would have been different.

Why didn't Devi maiyya took her life also along with her parents.

A wave of anger passed though her towards her dead parents. Why did they left her alone in this world?

Didn't she deserve happiness for once in her life?

He wouldn't have dared to blackmail her into a contract marriage if her parents were alive.

He may not have questioned her character if she had a family of her own.

He knew no one will go after him for hurting her. He always took her for granted.

But he claimed to love her. A small voice in her heart whispered but she immediately crushed that thought.  It was a lie.

He never loved anyone apart from his Di.

She fell in love with a wrong person. Didn't she know that from the very beginning?

He never cared for anyone else.

When he blackmailed her with Payal's wedding she gave in. She took all the humiliation from her and his family. He left her alone that day also.

Today She came to know a life is growing inside her, Her's and Arnav's child. No.. Her child.

Her Aunt simply asked her to abort the child and move on. She declared her child will bring shame to her so called family.  As usual blamed her for getting pregnant without marrying him properly.

How can she blame her alone? He was equally responsible for this.

But he was a man and that was their simple excuse. He was rich and she was poor.

As a women she was supposed to bear the humiliation from the society and family whereas he simply left the country and found a safe place to hide from the world.

How it was her fault if her mother's sister had an affair with his father?

His Dadi told they didn't want a daughter in law who was related to Garima. But she trusted him. At last he turned out as his father's son. A cheater.

He showed her heaven one day and turned her future into hell.

No. She can't let him break her spirit. Her so called family cannot destroy her anymore.

Her child is her only family. Her own blood. How dare they ask her to kill her reason to be alive?

Until yesterday her life was empty. Today she could see a ray of hope- her child. She will live for her child. She will do anything and everything for her child. She will not let her child to feel unwanted.

She won't let anyone touch her baby. She have to be strong for her child.

Suddenly she felt it- the agony was gone, replaced by sudden strength and energy.

She placed her hands on her flat tummy and gently caressed it.

"Mumma loves you so much. Just be with me so that I can fight this world. You are the only one I have"

She whispered to her kid with tears in her eyes.

Love,
ST
